Wine knowledge is a tossed salad of sorts.
On one hand, there are solid facts, science, and studied tidbits we learn along the way.
Then, you can research a subject and find five different explanations on how the war was won; usually from someone else’s emotional point of view.
Not to mention the need to give the same grape eight different names; yes, that does happen.
Wine people - we just can’t get out of our own way.
Storytelling will never be replaced. How have I become a messenger of someone else’s narrative? How have I learned to connect my own agenda, the magic of the wines before me, and a lasting impression upon the listener?
It’s an art form, a loving campaign that changes every day, and now YOU can witness the building blocks of where it started, and where it is going - of course, from my point of view.
My emotional side has always stayed behind a closed door - a peak from time to time to the lucky few. My opinons seemed to stay behind that door as well - untill a few years ago when the flood gates opened, and I realized that I had something to say, and a way to say it.
